Q: I lost the combination to my Master Lock Set-Your-Own Combination lock. Can you help me reset it?
Unfortunately no. You cannot reset this lock without knowing the current combination. You'll likely need to purchase a new lock.

Q: I accidentally reset the combination on my Master Lock resettable combination lock. Now I don't know the correct combination. Can I reset the lock back and assign a new combination?

Q: I've forgotten the combination to my standard dial combination lock. How do I obtain the combination for personal use?
A) My lock does not have a serial number:
To provide enhanced long–term security, Master Lock has discontinued imprinting a serial number on the lock body on combination locks sold through retail locations. For greater convenience, we encourage consumers to store their combination at our secure website, Masterlockvault.com, which is easy to use and offers 24/7 access. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide combinations for non–serialized locks. Please see examples of a serial number if you are unsure if your lock features one.

Q: How long will it take to receive my combination?
Q: How do I open a Master Lock combination lock? What is the dialing sequence?
To open a standard Master Lock combination lock (1500D):
- Turn the dial 3 times to the right and stop on the first number of the sequence.
- Turn the dial to the left, past the first number of the sequence, and stop on the second number.
- Turn the dial to the right and stop on the third number of the sequence.
- Pull up on the shackle.
Q: I've lost the Master Lock reset tool for changing the combination on my lock. How can I get a new one?
As a courtesy, Master Lock customer solutions group can issue you a replacement tool free of charge. You will need to supply the model number or an image of your lock. Please contact us to submit your request.
Q: How can I retrieve my lost combination when my Master Lock lock is attached to a bike, cabinet, locker, or something else?
We will not provide lost combinations if the lock is attached to anything.
Q: I've lost the combination to my Set-Your-Own combination lock. Can you tell me what it is?
Resettable combination locks have a combination that is assigned by the owner of the lock. Therefore, Master Lock does not have record of the combination that the owner set. The lock cannot be reset unless it is in the open position. If your lock is attached to something, you will need to call a locksmith for removal. Please note that Master Lock does not reimburse for Locksmith services and/or fees.
Q: How do I obtain the Activation Code for my Bluetooth Smart 4400 or 4401 padlocks?
To locate the lock's Activation Code on the instruction sheet included in the lock packaging:
- Remove the instruction sheet from the box packaging.
- The Activation Code is located on the upper left side of the instructions.
Q: Where can I find the Default Code for my 1500iEURD padlock ?
The preset combination will be a series of four arrows which will look like the example code below (the preset combination is different for each lock):

Q: I set a personal combination to my padlock, but I cannot remember it, how do I open my lock?
For security purposes, the only way to open the lock is to use the combination. Resettable combination locks have a combination that is assigned by the owner of the lock. Therefore, Master Lock does not have record of the combination that the owner set.
Q: We have combination locker locks and we have lost the chart booklet that lists all of the serial numbers and their respective combinations. How can we obtain a new chart booklet?
To obtain a new combination chart booklet, send a request to safetyeucs@mlock.com.
Q: I bought a TSA-accepted padlock that has been cut during my travel, how can I get a new product?
We appreciate your feedback and apologize for your inconvenient experience with this product. Indeed, your padlock is a TSA-accepted model so it is likely that the TSA screener may not have been adequately trained to recognize the red and white diamond logo on the lock.
We can submit a notice to the TSA and we would like the following information to complete the claims process.
These infomation will be sent to our licensor, Travel Sentry, and they will address the incident with the screener authority at the airport where the lock was cut.

Q: Is it possible to obtain a combination chart on CD or via e-mail?
Yes, it is possible to obtain a chart on CD or via e-mail. To obtain a new combination chart booklet, send a request to safetyeucs@mlock.com. Please allow 2-4 weeks from the receipt of the request to process your chart.
